NOHARA is our most refined Ceremonial Matcha, recommended for Usucha (thin tea) and Koicha (thick tea).
A rare stone-milled blend of crafted in collaboration with Mr. Morita, an award-winning Tea Master and blender from Uji (Kyoto).
Made from the most tender, hand-picked young tea shoots that have been picked during the first spring harvest after being shade-grown using Honzu technique for up to 30 days. Honzu shading is the oldest and most labour-intensive shading structure used in Japan.
NOHARA is a blend of Samidori, Ujihikari and Saemidori cultivars that features an iridescent green colour and bursts with a complex bouquet of floral, vegetal and nutty notes.
When brewed, its mild vegetal and marine-like aromas can be immediately appreciated, followed by a soft and creamy body layered with sweet, nutty and savoury Umami notes that linger on the palate long after drinking.
NOHARA is the grade of choice of high-end restaurants and chefs looking to treat their patrons with the true flavour of high-grade Ceremonial Matcha.
Ground and packed in Japan, airfreighted monthly to Australia.
